The mouth of the Rio Posada in the Tepilora Park has effectively become a protected area recognized by the Ramsar convention, also thanks to the help of the MEDSEA foundation which provided technical support for the accreditation process.

The second local TuneUp conference was held on Tuesday 29th of June. For over a year, the European project has been committed to involving the community of the town of Cabras in a path that aims at building a sustainable future for the Protected Marine Area of the Sinis Peninsula-Mal di Ventre Island, the coastal marine quadrant of the Gulf of Oristano, an area of priceless environmental value.
Over 300 volunteers called by the third edition of “Puliamo la Sella” met in the amphitheater of the small port of “Marina Piccola”. They chose the SUP team, or that of the hikers.
Sardinian companies are getting more and more at the forefront in protecting the sea and the environment and they joined together in the MEDSEA “Blue Community”. Projects, numbers and a common vision were shared at Blue Waves, the first event for Sardinian companies committed in the circular economy for the sea and the environment,
On 2 July 2021, at the Lazzaretto in Cagliari, they will meet at the first edition of Blue Waves, the first event on the circular economy for the sea in Sardinia. The round tables will have some leading companies in environmental commitment, to share projects, best practices and think about common goals and ambitions for the future of our island.
The Prada group has decided to support the MEDSEA Foundation for the project to restore marine ecosystems with the reforestation of Posidonia oceanica meadows in the 'Capo Carbonara' Marine Protected Area in Villasimius. The project aims to be, according to a press release, a "thank you to the Sardinian community and its environment", the catwalk of the latest SS22 menswear collection, spring-summer 2022.
