With the Re-Live Waste project, the Arborea Producers Cooperative won the award Towards a circular economy 2021, wanted by the Cogeme Foundation and Kyoto Club. Re-Live Waste was funded by the EU and is part of the Interreg MED transnational program. The project is focuses on innovative systems for the management of waste materials, with a view to a circular economy.

In the occasion of the World Wetlands Day which celebrates ponds and lagoons in the world next February 2, the MEDSEA foundation launches the contest on wetlands in Sardinia with the hashtag #WWDSardegna to raise awareness and promote these still little-known habitats.
A new entry from Sardinia is born in the rice family! The Oristano rice farm, iFerrari, launched "Artemide" earlier this year. This new variety of black rice comes from the Venere rice (with medium grain and black pericarp) and the Indica type rice (with long and narrow grain and white pericarp).
“The pandemic crisis and adverse weather conditions created many difficulties, but we persisted, taking advantage of every useful opportunity to carry on the project. MEDSEA foundation, which has been carrying out the Maristanis project in the Oristano area in Sardinia since 2017, attended last week the yearly meeting of the MAVA steering committee. The session took place from 16 to 17 December 2021 in Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, and gathered together the international partners of the M3 strategy which aims to improve the conservation of the coastal wetlands.
On February 2, the World Wetlands Day will be celebrated once again the Oristanese wetlands region. To recall the central role of wetlands in addressing climate and environmental crisis and to raise awareness of the importance of these basins especially in this west coast side of Sardinia, within the Maristanis project.
The first round of meetings of the Coastal Contract participatory process came to an end. For two months it saw the experts of the MEDSEA Foundation, on behalf of the Coordination Group, discuss in 9 meetings and over 20 hours of listening of all the institutional, economic, cultural and environmental forces operating in the Gulf of Oristano.
In the "adopted" vineyard of Spiaggia Grande on the Island of Sant'Antioco, the second harvest of La Casa di Sophia by Luisa Camoglio came to life. Luisa, entrepreneur and doctor, a member of the MEDSEA blue Community committed to the sea and the environment in Sardinia.
